GO ON...

GET ON THE GREEN

Bowling is a ‘sport for all’ in the true sense. There are no gender or age barriers to playing together, in fact many clubs have three generations of members enjoying a common interest.

Bowls is as competitive as you want it to be, from social ‘ends’ with friends to the Commonwealth Games, you might be surprised at how addictive it can be.

In the UK we have outdoor clubs for the summer season and indoor clubs for the winter. However bowling clubs, particularly in the UK, are struggling for membership. Clubs and the wider sport are missing almost an entire generation within their membership, which makes their future very uncertain.

WHAT IS

GET ON THE GREEN?

The ‘Get on the Green’ campaign aims to let people know that bowls is an excellent, low cost, healthy option for family activity. Importantly we also want to support local clubs whom, unfortunately, find their memberships dwindling. We are all very used to passing our local bowling club, they are so important to our community – how would we feel if they were no longer there?

Get on the Green this year – either yourself or with your family. Drop into your local club or email us for more information.
